Environment & Sustainability

We are taking steps to play our part in sustainable environmental improvement by:

• Actively increasing the growing of our own vegetables and each year will further progress our work in this area.
• Saving any food waste and distributing it to a local chicken and duck farm.
• Requesting our guests to indicate to us if they need towels replaced each day by leaving them on the floor of the shower tray.
  Alternatively if they do not need to be replaced, please leave them on the towel rail in your bedroom.
• Recycling waste eg glass, cans and plastic
• Composting garden waste
• Using CFL bulbs when we replace halogen bulbs (ongoing)
• Bulk purchase of soap and shampoo and refill containers
• Use and promote local produce where possible
• Provide advice on local routes for walking and cycling
